This was my conversation with Carl yesterday:

Carl: So, how'd it go?
VH: *shrug* Killed her.
Carl: How did you kill her?
VH: I used that weapon you gave me.
Carl: Oh. So, it worked?
VH: *gives Carl a look*
Carl: Oh. Right. *looks uncomfortable* So, what's next? Shapeshifting scientists? Werewolves? Vampires?
VH: *grateful for the change in subject* Jinette says there's a colony of vampires in a small town in southern France.
Carl: How nice. You won't really be needing my help, then. *turns to bubbling liquid in a beaker*
VH: Probably not, but I will need more bolts for my crossbow. And the Tojo blades need oiling.
Carl: Fine. Fine. Give 'em here. *putters off with weapons*

So, weaponry all in order, all I need now is to tack my horse and be on my way. Should probably get going, it's a long way to France from here.

Seem to have lost my hat. Or the damned thing got up and walked away on it's own. This place is a little... different, so not too surprising if the latter is the case.


And I think the time alteration is making me loopy...

Just got my new assignment. Carl's not coming along for this one. Probably best. This one's pretty routine, but a bit dangerous - especially for a man of the cloth. He did give me this interesting little trinket - though I have no idea what exactly it does... yet.

What does it look like? Well, it's about 18 inches long... kinda looks like a tree branch, but it's supposed to be good for fighting or killing succubi. I think. I hope. Sometimes I'm never quite sure.

Oh, I trust Carl's research and weapons, I just like to know that the one's I have are the one's I need. There are the usual fare, but they're not always helpful against some of these creatures.
