TM ~ furthest you've been...

[locked to those who know about Connor's immortality]

What's the furthest away you've ever been from the place you were born/created? How did you get there? Why did you go? Did you return or even want to come back to where you came from?

Well, I'm from Scotland and I've been to lots of different places. I spent time as a ship captain, so I've been all over - Japan, Cape Horn. I've been to both by boat and, if I recall, I once travelled to Japan mostly by land. In Japan I learned additional swordsmanship from another immortal. Picked up a bit of swordmaking too.

Oh, I've been back home to Scotland many times. Haven't lived there in years, but I go back now and again. I like it there.

Tis a pleasure to meet you at last, Connor.

Aye, I've heard all about you. The name is Frances Moira MacKay, of the Clan MacKay, but most people call me [livejournal.com profile] fannyfae. I come a small village you most likely have ne'er heard of between the Highlands and the Sea near Cape Wrath.

It's good to see a folks from Home.

"Clan MacKay?" An eyebrow goes up, it's been a while since he's really met anyone truly from home lately.

"I'm beginning to wonder who *hasn't* heard about me." He cracks a grin and extends a hand. "Pleasure, Fanny Fae."

"When you're half-Fae you tend to live a long time. I may not be totally immortal like you are, but we have a pretty long life expectancy. After three hundred years you hear a story or two." ;-)

Fanny takes his hand and smiles. "Are you by chance related to a man by the name of Angus McLeod?"

OOC: I don't know how open you are to it, but Fanny Fae is always open for RP and interacting with a fellow Scot would be absolutely ideal. :)

Fae? What the hell is that?

"Pardon the question, but what is 'Fae'? Aside from long-lived?"

"Angus? That's a rather common Scottish name. I had a cousin named Angus."

Fae are the strange folk of the forests. Some say it is an old name for the Druids and such. We tend to stay away from iron implements. I cannot believe that someone who is decended of Celts blood would not be knowing of the Fae - even if it is just legend and folklore. ;-)

Angus is common name. I don't know if he was your cousin or not. I don't suppose describing red hair, and a penchant for drinking and singing till the wee hours would help in the description would it?

He thinks a moment. Had he heard stories of such creatures? He doesn't remember.

"I didn't spend a lot of time around people. Or in Scotland after my first wife died."

He laughs. "No, it wouldn't."
